Notes on Basic Tools
Steel Rules:
1 - Good quality rules will have both imperial and metric markings.
2 - Always check the end markings -
Are the first 1/32" and 0.5 mm marks the same distance from the edge as the next markings?
If not, then either the rule has been cut too short or too long in its manufacture and is best rejected
